We are delighted to announce that EMN Plant Operator Deklyn Feather picked up the award of 'Apprentice Plant Operator of the Year' from the SPOA / CITB / JCB at the Scottish Plant Owners Association annual dinner last Friday night. He attended the event with his family as well as EMN Director Ellis Nicolson and was delighted to meet the 'The Digger Girl' Amy Underwood who also recevied the award in 2013.
Deklyn joined EMN in 2022 as a mature student to undertake the Construction Plant Operative Apprenticeship at the CITB National Construction College in Bircham Newton. This involved him undertaking 13 weeks at college split into 4 blocks. He thoroughly enjoyed his time at the college and praised the lecturers there as well as the facilities, plant and computer simulator.
He is now working with EMN's crushing and screening operations driving a Wheeled Loading Shovel and gaining experience on other plant in the fleet when he can. Well done to Deklyn from the Directors and Staff at EMN.
