Morrison Construction, a specialists civil engineering sub-contractor, brought in EMN Plant to assist with operated and self drive plant hire at the Shetland Gas Plant.
This consisted of excavators, telehandlers, tractors, dump trucks, tipper & crane trucks, tracked dumpers, bowsers, etc.
At the peak of the project EMN had more than 80 items of plant onsite. A large labour force of up to 60 was required to operate plant and so EMN used direct local labour, cross hired operators and agency labour. Spare items of plant were used to ensure regular servicing was maintained as some machines were working 24 hours per day. Our office and engineers provided a 7 day service to support the client as much as possible.
EMN Plant also undertook packages of sub-contracted works such as building floating roads over peat for the permiter security fence.
